Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Thursday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Thursday's early morning tide at 00:15 on 19/02/2026.
The weather increases tide table values by 0.33 m. Total forecast tide is 6.11 metres Chart Datum (3.06 mAOD) at Littlehampton. Light South Easterly Force 3 wind. Minimal flood impacts are expected. A small amount of water could find its way behind the beach and may pond on nearby land and fields including at Climping Street Car Park and Mill Lane.
Thursday's tide at 12:30 on 19/02/2026 is forecast to be 23 cm lower (2.83 mAOD).
We are closely monitoring the situation . We routinely check the condition of the beach at Climping.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Access could be restricted. Take care if visiting Climping beach.
