High tides today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 10:00 to 14:00 on 20/03/2026.
Locations most affected will be low lying coastal roads and footpaths in the area of coastline at North Morecambe Bay from Roosebeck to Carnforth including low lying areas around Ulverston, Greenodd, Haverthwaite, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, Levens, Milnthorpe, Sandside, Arnside and Silverdale. The high tide tonight will be below the Flood Alert threshold, but will exceed it again tomorrow lunchtime between 11:45 and 15:45 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
