Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High tides over the next two days may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible from 21:15 tonight to 01:15 on 06/12/25 and again between 09:30 and 13:30 on the 06/12/25 
Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths.

Areas affected include Sandylands, Middleton, Sunderland, Bank Houses, Hillam, Sand Side and Cockerham Moss. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded . 
This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 06 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
