Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Site

Flood warning

Heavy rain has been falling on the already saturated River Nene catchment tonight, Wednesday, 20th January, and is expected to continue until the early hours of tomorrow. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads in the area, and due to the deteriorating weather conditions we now expect properties at Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Site to be affected, from the early hours of Thursday, 21st January onwards. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. Levels are likely to remain high for a few days. However, after the overnight rainfall has passed, the forecast is for two dry days tomorrow and Friday. Avoid riverside paths and please stay away from river embankments. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the Emergency Services and Council. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated on Thursday, 21st January, or as the situation changes.
