Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain is currently falling in the Nene catchment and will continue throughout Sunday 24th November. This is causing the River Nene to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near the River are already flooded and we now expect properties in Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Site to be affected from this evening onwards. Further rainfall is forecast this evening, and therefore river levels are expected to continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by Monday, 25th November, or before if the situation changes.
