Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are rising steadily in response to heavy rainfall. Flooding is possible throughout this evening and tomorrow. Areas most at risk are around Cottenham Lode including Oakington Brook, Wash Pit Brook and Beck Brook. Further rainfall is expected this evening and tomorrow. River levels are expected to continue to rise. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Wednesday 02/10/24.
