River Levels

Dee Estuary from Parkgate to Chester

Message issued at 9:20am, Tuesday 27th October 2026

Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

We anticipate the next high tide this morning, 27 October 2026, to meet the flood alert threshold. Flooding is possible from 11:15 AM on 27 October 2026.

Locations most affected by spray overtopping will be low lying land and roads around the Dee Estuary. We are not expecting that the high tide overnight into 28 October 2026 will meet the flood alert threshold. We are expecting higher than normal high tides over the next day, and a result, we may issue further flood alerts and flood warnings.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.

This message will be updated by 5:00 PM on Tuesday 27 October or as the situation changes.
