WARNING UPDATE. Flooding is expected in Drumelzier to Dawyck. Act now.
The River Tweed in this location is expected to peak around midnight and then fall through Friday morning. Although the current forecast now has the peak below the warning threshold, this warning will remain in place overnight, considering the elevated river levels and surface water flood risk to low lying land and roads. There is a risk of flooding of the access roads at Rachan Home Farm and Drumelzier place as well as flooding to low lying agricultural land. Standing water on roads, including the B712, may lead to difficult driving conditions. For information: Scottish Borders Council's nearest Sandbag Store is located Broughton Primary School.
