Flooding possible. Be prepared.
A Flood Alert has been issued for Edinburgh and Lothians.
Heavy and thundery showers in some places could cause significant flooding impacts on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Not all areas will see the heaviest showers. However, if the heaviest rain falls over urban areas or the transport network there could be flooding of low lying land and roads, flooding affecting properties and travel disruption. There could also be flooding from small rivers and watercourses.
Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is available on our website or by calling Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
This Flood Alert was sent by email, SMS and/or phone, free of charge to registered Floodline customers.
