River levels have risen at the Glenridding river gauge. Areas affected will be Bury Jubilee Hostel, Youth Hostels Association, Rattlebeck, properties from Eagle Farm to Glenridding Hotel, Tourist Information Centre, Ullswater Steamers, St Patricks Boat Landing, Inn on the Lake Hotel, Glenridding House and The Square.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated later today 09/02/2020, or as the situation changes.
