Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Long Eaton Breaston Holmes Road river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snow. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas most at risk are Breaston inlcuding properties on Draycott Road, Gregory Avenue, Hind Avenue, Festival Avenue and Malborough Road.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
