Flood Warning

River levels remain high in the Great Steeping, and Firsby catchment, causing flooding of low lying land, and properties near the Steeping River. River levels are still falling slowly and are not expected to react following lighter than expected rainfall this evening, Wednesday 19 June. Low lying properties close to the river are likely to remain at risk. We will continue to monitor river levels and have staff out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the Emergency Services and Council. Please stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings, and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated in the morning or as the situation changes..
