Flood warning in force: Groundwater flooding for the North Winterborne, north of the A354 Flooding is expected for: Groundwater flooding for Turnworth, Winterborne Stickland, Winterborne Houghton, Clenston, Whatcombe and Whitechurch. High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. Flooding is expected from 2 February 2026 onwards. The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole has risen to 144.05m above sea level, levels are forecast to peak early this week, though further rainfall may cause levels to rise again. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:30AM on 9 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
