Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Groundwater levels are currently rising at our Tile Barn Farm borehole near the Crondall area as a result of persistent rainfall and saturated ground.
Groundwater levels are above normal for this time of year and have now reached a level where communities may be affected by groundwater flooding within the next few days. We expect levels to remain high over the next few days and levels remain sensitive to further sustained rainfall. Low-lying land and roads will therefore continue to be at risk of flooding. We are continuing to monitor groundwater levels and will update this message next week by the 21/03/2024, or as the situation changes.
