High river levels tonight may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from throughout the evening of 22 January 2026 and into the morning of 23 January.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers along Alverthorpe Beck, Balne Beck, Ings Beck and Oakenshaw Beck in Wakefield.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
