Flood warning

Heavy rain is currently falling in the Ancholme catchment and will continue throughout Monday 6th January 2025. This is causing River Ancholme to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the day. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties in the Waddingham Area to be affected from this morning onwards. Low lying properties near the river at Brandy Wharf in Waddingham are expected to be affected first. Further rain is forecast for this morning and therefore river levels will continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 12:00 on 07/01/25, or before if the situation changes
