Itchen estuary

Warning no longer in force

Storm Pierrick, which brought gale force winds and elevated tide levels along the south coast has now cleared the area. Last night's tide came in 6 cm over the forecast. Tide levels will remain high over the next 24 hours. During this period, at each high water, very minor impacts may be experienced, but we do not expect the tide to affect major roads or property. Take care around the coast during the high winds. A Flood Alert will remain in force to cover minor impacts for today's high water at 12:00 (09/04/2024).
