Little Avon catchment and the Vale of Berkeley

Flood Alert

River levels are currently rising at the Frenchay river gauge. The rising levels are in response to rainfall associated with Storm Jorge and we expect levels to continue to rise throughout the night. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Little Avon River and other rivers and streams in the Vale of Berkeley. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings as required. Our incident response staff have been checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow, Saturday 29/02/20 or as the situation changes.
