Flood warning

River levels are falling but remain high and responsive to further rainfall. Flooding is still possible for the next few days while the rivers drain away from high peak levels. Areas most at risk are Church Walk, Water Lane, Mill Lane, High Street, King William Close and Hillgrounds Road. The forecast is for no further significant rainfall, which will allow river levels to gradually start returning to normal soon. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 5pm today, Wednesday 02/10/24.
