Flooding expected. Take action now.
This is a Flood Warning Update. River levels continue to remain high due to to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is possible. Areas most at risk include Bickerley, Ringwood and the B3347 from Christchurch to Stony Lane in Christchurch. More bands of rain are expected throughout the day today and over the next few days, and rivers may react and rise further. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 9 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
