Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Due to the overnight snow melting and heavy rainfall, river levels are expected to rise and cause flooding to low lying ground. Flooding is possible throughout the morning 06/01/2025.
Areas most at risk include River Douglas and other watercourses from Parbold to Tarleton including Rufford, Mawdesley, Croston and Moss Side.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation.
