Flood alert in force: Lower River Lune and Conder
Flooding is possible for: River Lune, Conder and Keer and other watercourses from Kirkby Lonsdale to Galgate including Gressingham, Carnforth, Hornby, Wray, Bentham and Lancaster
High river levels this afternoon may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 24 March 2026..
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near to the river Lune, Conder and Keer and other watercourses from Kirkby Lonsdale to Galgate including Gressingham, Carnforth, Hornby, Wray, Bentham and Lancaster.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
