High river levels this morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the morning of 23 January 2026 .
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers, particularly footpaths around Yarm. There are currently no plans to close Yarm floodgates, however we are keeping the situation under review.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
