Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the early hours of 04 November 2025.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near to the river Wyre, river Cocker, Pilling Water and other watercourses from Catterall to Fleetwood, including St Michaels and Great Eccleston and Preesall.
We are clearing blockages from debris screens and closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 04 November 2025 or as the situation changes.
