Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Leicester Tuffleys Way river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible between 18:00 today, 26/09/24, and 07:00 tomorrow, 27/09/24. Areas most at risk are Braunstone Town.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 18 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow afternoon, 27/09/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
This message will be updated by 07:00 tomorrow morning, 27/09/24, or as the situation changes.
