River levels are rising rapidly on Meanwood Beck and Gledhow Beck due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
River levels are expected to remain high through the evening and flooding of properties is possible.
Further thunderstorms and heavy showers are forecast throughout the evening but should ease overnight.
We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
