Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high on Meanwood Beck and Gledhow Beck following this afternoon's thunderstorms, but are now starting to fall steadily. Rainfall is expected to gradually die away this evening and overnight, therefore levels should continue to fall going into tomorrow, Tuesday 7th May 2024. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Surface water is likely to continue to affect low spots on roads for some time - please remain aware of your surroundings and avoid walking or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 08:00 AM on 07/05/2024, or as the situation changes.
