WARNING UPDATE. Flooding is expected in Newton Stewart. Act now.
This is an update to the Flood Warning message issued for the Cree at Newton Stewart. River levels will remain high overnight due to further heavy rain through Sunday afternoon and evening. It is now possible that river levels will exceed those seen on 3rd October 2025. Flooding of low-lying properties in Millcroft Road, Stewart of Gallies, and Cree Bridge areas remains possible. The car park of the Further Education Centre and Riverside Road is also at risk of flooding.
