Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High tides and forecast weather conditions are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected on Saturday 16/11/2024, between 02:00 and 04:45. The Whitby Harbour areas are most at risk, including Abraham's Quay, Pier Road, New Quay Road, Church Street, Campion Dock and Bagdale Road. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, as large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. Consider enacting your flood plan. This message will be updated by 09:00 on Saturday 16/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
