Flood Warning

Waves are forecast to overtop sea defences as a result of high spring tides and strong winds at North Sea Coast at Victoria Harbour. Tides will be at their highest between 16:30 and 19:45 today, 14/01/2020. Flooding to coastal footpaths, roads and properties is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Areas most at risk are properties at Victoria Harbour, including Town Wall, Southgate, Victoria Street, Friendship Lane, Sunniside, Abbey Street, Bond Street, Commercial Street, Brig Open, Wells Street, Darlington Street, Nuns Street, West View Road, and Throston Street. We are closely monitoring the situation and affected areas. Please avoid using risk areas and take care near coastal footpaths and promenades as large waves and spray are likely. Do not drive through flood water or large waves. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 15/01/2020, or as the situation changes.
