Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Positive surge during high tides is expected to cause flooding from overtopping waves from tomorrow morning, Wednesday 28/05/2025, between 06:45 AM and 07:45 AM. This could cause some localised flooding. Areas most at risk of flooding include properties on North Promenade, Central Promenade, Pier Road, the end of South Cliff Road, and the Boat Park. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and are closing the South promenade floodgates. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, as the waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
