Flooding possible. Be prepared.
A Flood Alert Update has been issued for Orkney.
Hide spring tides together with a storm surge, extensive spray and wave overtopping associated with a further storm system are likely to cause significant coastal flooding impacts around the times of high water through Tuesday. Impacts could include extensive flooding of coastal roads, flooding of properties and significant travel disruption. Damage to coastal infrastructure is also possible. Less significant coastal flooding impacts may continue into Wednesday morning.
