Flood alert

River levels remain high on Osbaldwick Beck and Tanghall Beck in response to recent rainfall and snowmelt. Levels are falling slowly and no further flooding is expected . No significant rainfall is expected in the next few days. Areas most at risk are near Osbaldwick Beck and Tanghall Beck. We are monitoring levels closely and have been operating flood defences through York. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 8.30am on Wednesday 08/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
