This flood warning has been issued in response to rising levels on the River Foss following recent rainfall. The current level at James Street is 8m and is expected to rise slowly. The Foss Barrier is not currently operating, but will be activated later this morning as the River Ouse rises in response to the recent rainfall. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly.
