Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are rising on the Ouseburn and estuarine tributaries due to persistent rainfall and snowmelt.
Flooding is possible to riverside footpaths, low lying land and roads from this evening (04/12/2023) until tomorrow afternoon (05/12/2023).
Further rainfall is forecast throughout the evening into Tuesday morning, therefore river levels will be elevated throughout tomorrow.
We will continue to monitor levels closely and issue any flood warnings if required.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
This message will be updated by 09:00 AM on 05/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
