River levels are rising on the Pearl Brook.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Pearl Brook.
Flooding is affecting Horwich town centre from Bridge Street and Old Station Park to the M61, homes and businesses on Winter Hey Lane, Mason Street and adjoining roads including St. John Street, New Brunswick Street, Emmett Street, Taylor Street and Chorley New Road from 09:00 AM on 09/12/2023.
We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area.
We will continue to monitor levels closely.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
