River levels have risen at the Birmingham Perry Beeches river gauge as a result of localised heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is imminent. Flooding could affect properties around Trehurst Avenue, Chevril Close, Haddon Road and the Bowling Green
Further localised heavy rainfall is forecast over the next few days, which we would expect rivers to respond quickly to.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses.
This message will be updated this evening, 07/09/2022, or as the situation changes.
