Flooding expected. Take action now.
Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast high winds during spring tides. Areas most at risk include Hamworthy Park and surrounding areas including Moriconium Quay, parts of Lulworth Avenue and parts of Branksea Avenue. The detailed tidal information for those who use it is for a peak level at Poole Harbour of 1.71 mAODN at 10:15 PM this evening on 08/04/2024, with south-westerly force 7 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.) We will continue to monitor levels closely. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
