Wednesday morning's tide at 11:15 on 27/11/2019 is higher than normal due to ex Storm Sebastien which brings strong South Westerly Force 7 winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.48 m. The total forecast tide is 5.42 metres Chart Datum (2.69 mAOD) at Portsmouth. For 30 minutes either side of high water, minor flooding of roads close to the sea front at Port Solent, Highbury and Farlington is expected. Tide levels remain high until Thursday evening (28/11/2019), but it is unlikely that further messages will be issued. We continue to monitor the forecast. Avoid exposed sea front locations and walking or driving through floodwater, it may contain hidden hazards. We will remove this message by 16:00 on 27/11/2019.
