Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels this morning may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible from the morning of 13 March 2026 . 
This means that the river levels have risen in the Rase and Upper Ancholme catchments, leading to flooding of low-lying land and roads close to the river. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days, however we expect the river to remain high throughout today and tomorrow and flooding to gardens, driveways or outhouses is possible close to the river. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water Avoid low lying roads, near rivers which may be flooded. 
This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 14 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
