Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at the Leicester Rearsby river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland continues through today into this evening, 06/01/2025. Areas most at risk are properties at Brookside and Church Lane. The ford at Church Lane may remain impassable. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. To check the status of road closures online, please visit the One Network live map. This message will be updated by 17:00 this evening, 06/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
