The River Aire has now peaked in response to the recent rainfall but remains high. Levels are currently expected to fall throughout the rest of today and evening, Tuesday 2/1/24, but flooding is still possible through into tomorrow. Further unsettled weather is expected over the coming days and we will be closely monitoring the forecasts and river levels.
Please put your flood plan into action and take care when near washlands and low-lying land, which could be flooded. Avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses, and do not drive through floodwater.
This message will be updated by 00:30am on 3/1/2024, or as the situation changes.
