This flood warning is no longer in force. Water levels have stabilised in the Aire and Calder Navigation between Pollington and Goole and there is no immediate risk of flooding to properties in East Cowick and West Cowick . We are also continuing to monitor water levels near to Pollington as standing water will remain on lower lying land.
The Canal and River Trust has stabilised the damage to the bank and will continue to inspect the area for any further movement. The IDB are continuing to operate Newbridge pumping station at full capacity and will continue to monitor the situation as levels fall over the next few days.
