Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Polesworth gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, 09/02/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in the Bridge Street, Market Street, Grendon Road, Tamworth Road, Rowland Avenue and Pooley View areas.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please call 999 if in immediate danger and avoid contact with flood water.
