Flood alert

River levels are rising on the Ash in Hertfordshire this evening, Sunday 8th December, due to heavy rain over the last 3 days caused by Storm Darragh. Flooding is not forecast to affect properties but will affect locations near the Ash in Hertfordshire. Low lying land is expected to be most affected, particularly around Marsdock Mill. No further significant rainfall is expected overnight or for the coming 5 days. We will continue to monitor levels closely and take further action if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Monday 9th December, or as the situation changes.
