Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. 
Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 . 
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 01:30 AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are South Brent, Avonwick and Aveton Gifford. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 02:00AM and 09:00AM. 
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 
Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
