Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected on Thursday evening. Heavy rain has been falling in the Exmoor area. This has caused the River Barle to rise. The rain will begin to clear the area at around 2:30am on Friday morning. Further rain is forecast from Friday evening into Saturday morning.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the night and this message will be updated as the situation changes.
