Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are slowly dropping but remain higher than normal at the Salisbury Bourne river gauge following the recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include tributaries between Aughton and Laverstock, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Rain is expected today and tomorrow, the totals that are forecast are low but may cause a reaction in river levels due to saturated ground. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 23 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
