Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain has fallen in the River Chater catchment and is causing the River Chater to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the day. Low lying areas near to the River Chater are already flooded and we now expect properties in Ketton to be affected this afternoon onwards. Low lying properties on Church Road in Ketton are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 07/01/2025, or before if the situation changes.
