Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise at the Charlton Kings river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and roads and farmland is expected overnight 09/01/20. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in the Charlton Kings area, Brookway Road may be impacted by flooding. Cudnalls Bridge has now been overtopped. Flood water could be deep and fast flowing, and therefore pose a risk to life.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to rise until tomorrow 10/01/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid contact with flood water.
